We think God is better than the rumors.
Aesthetic exists to help people see the beauty of God in a way that feels real and personal.
We believe many of the things people are drawn to in culture, including beauty, art, music, connection, and wonder, are reflections of the Creator himself. Our vision is a church where heaven meets culture, and where people can encounter God while still feeling fully human, fully seen, and deeply welcomed.
Our mission at Aesthetic
We exist to help people see and enjoy the beauty of God.
OUR VISION
To change the way society sees God, so He’s known as beautiful, dynamic, and present in the modern world.
OUR VALUES
The Gospel
Jesus at the center of everything.
Come as you are
You don’t have to clean yourself up first. Our community is a safe space to explore God, ask questions, and be fully yourself.
Creativity and beauty
We embrace art, innovation, and creativity as reflections of God’s beauty.
Heaven meets culture
Bridging the gap between God and contemporary culture.
OUR CORE BELIEFS
Our core beliefs are the foundation of our community. Followers of Jesus may disagree on secondary issues, but these are central to our faith and life together.
Reading up from the foundation. Tap a stone to stay on it.
The Bible
God-breathed, trustworthy, and our final authority for what we believe and how we live.
God
One God, three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, eternally existing in perfect love and unity.
Jesus Christ
Fully God and fully human; He lived, died for our sins, rose again, and is the only way we are reconciled to God.
The Holy Spirit
Gives new life, lives within believers, and empowers us to live, love, and serve like Jesus.
Humanity
Made in God’s image with deep worth and dignity, yet separated from God by sin; restored only through faith in Jesus.
Salvation
A gift of grace, received through faith in Jesus alone, not earned by our effort or performance.
The Church
All who trust in Jesus, expressed in local communities devoted to worship, Scripture, community, and mission.
Spiritual Growth
A lifelong, Spirit-led transformation as we walk with God and are formed into the image of Christ.

Pastor
John Lee’s aim is simple: to see the beauty of God and help other people see it too. It comes from Psalm 27:4, “to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord.”
John grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and surrendered his life to Jesus in his freshman dorm room at LSU. From there he studied economics at NYU’s Stern School of Business, worked in New York, moved back home to Louisiana, and later went to Los Angeles, where he earned a Master of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary.
Ordained in 2019, John has served in a range of ministry roles, including Guest Services and as a Grow Pastor leading Groups ministry at Gateway Church South Austin.
He loves art and culture, and he believes the Church should be a place where people can come as they are and experience a God who is near and beautiful.
He lives in Austin with his wife, Tori, and their two dogs, Avery and Gracie.

He does it to help people see the beauty of God in the culture they already live in.
